Rajinikanth's Kochadaiyaan release date confirmed!


It is known news that Superstar Rajinikanth is doing a film titled Kochadaiyaan under the direction of his younger daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth. The shooting is progressing at brisk pace.

Now the latest is news that Soundarya Rajinikanth is planning to release the movie on Rajini's birthday this year i.e. on 12/12/12. As per the producer, the post production works of the film are taking place in London, Hong Kong and Los Angeles at once. The film will be released in all languages at once.

The dubbing works of the movie is progressing simultaneously in Telugu, English, Hindi and Japanese versions. Telugu version of the movie is titled movie as 'Vikram Simha'.

Rajinikanth plays a king, a devotee of Lord Shiva role in this film. The film is expected to be the first Indian 3D film using Motion Capture Technology.

Artistes galore for Kochadaiyaan!


Kochadaiyaan, the much anticipated next movie from Superstar Rajni, is being produced by Eros International in collaboration with Media One Global Entertainment, on a very large budget! The movie stars Rajinikanth, Deepika Padukone, Sarathkumar, Jackie Shroff, Aadhi, Nasser, Shobhana and Rukmani. Director K.S. Ravikumar has written the story, screenplay and dialogues, and is also supervising the direction, being handled by Soundharya R. Ashwin.

For Kochadaiyaan, the art is being handled by Velu, an art director selected by Soundarya, from the College of Fine Arts, in Paris, Chennai. The art director has 42 students from his college, and 50 people with over 8 years of experience from the Kumbakonam College of Fine Arts, working under him. Apart from this, there are also over 60 people working as Concept artistes, on Kochadaiyaan.

With so many people in the art department, we can be sure that a visual treat is in the offing, in Kochadaiyaan! We just can't wait for our Superstar's movie to hit the screens!

Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyaan not for Diwali


The most disappointing news for the Rajinikanth’s fans is superstar’s next movie Kochadaiyaan, which was thought to be released for Diwali, has been postponed.

Shankar’s Endhiran was Rajinikanth’s last release, which was an amazing robot film released in 2010. Rajini’s next film was expected to be KS Ravikumar’s Rana, but the movie was put to stay back even after Rajini signed for the project, as Rajini fell ill, which made him to be in bed rest for several months.

Though, Soundarya Ashwin, Rajinikanth’s younger daughter gave a relief to his fans by announcing the making of Kochadaiyaan in November 2011. Rajinikanth too had promised his fans about giving them a treat by releasing Kochadaiyaan for this Diwali.

Now, it has been confirmed by the makers that the film has been postponed. Soundarya does not want to compromise on the quality of the multilingual film. The post-production works take a long time to finish which exceeds the scheduled time. So, they have planned to postpone the release.

Reports say the movie was booked by theatres all over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and other parts of the South. When contacted the Kochadaiyaan producer Dr Murli Manohar, said they are not rushing to release the movie. The movie is surely postponed and not releasing for this Diwali.

Kochadaiyaan starring Rajinikanth and dazzling Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth. The 3D film has been shot using Motion Capture Technology. Rajini plays an eighth century Pandya king who is known for his legendary valour.

The other cast includes R.Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar. Music has been scored by AR Rahman.

This will be Rajinikanth’s first release in two years, since Robot in 2010 with Aishwarya Rai. His next release will be the epic film Rana which is not due until 2014.

'Kochadaiyaan': A story of 3 kings


Grapevine is abuzz that Superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus 'Kochadaiyaan' is the story of three kings, played by Rajinikanth, Jackie Shroff and Nassar. Rajini will be seen as a devotee of Lord Shiva in this 3D flick.

He will be seen in two roles, that of father and son. It is said that the film will capture a war between these three kings through various generations and while the father Rajini fights Jackie, the son, Rajini, will get into a tiff with Aadhi, Jackie Shroff's son in the film! Sarathkumar plays Nasser's son in 'Kochadaiyaan'.

Filming has almost been wrapped and the extensive post-production work is on in a full swing. The film is directed by Soundarya Ashwin and has music by AR Rahman. Rajini and Deepika Padukone play the lead roles.

'Kochadaiyaan' is touted to release in the fag end of 2012.
